NOTICE OF A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING of the Franchise and Concession Review Committee and the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation (“NYC Parks”) to be held remotely via a Microsoft Teams dial-in on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. relative to:

 

INTENT TO AWARD as a concession for the renovation, operation, and maintenance of three (3) outdoor cafes, one (1) beach shop, and the operation of up to twenty (20) satellite units along Rockaway Beach and Boardwalk, in Queens, for a fifteen (15) year term, to Rockaway Beach Bazaar, LLC (“Licensee”). Compensation under the License Agreement will be as follows: Licensee shall pay to City license fees for each Year, consisting of an annual fee according to the following schedule: Year 1: $300,000.00; Year 2: $309,000.00; Year 3: $318,270.00; Year 4: $327,818.00; Year 5: $337,653.00; Year 6: $347,782.00; Year 7: $358,216.00; Year 8: $368,962.00;  Year 9: $380,031.00; Year 10: $391,432.00; Year 11: $403,175.00; Year 12: $415,270.00; Year 13: $427,728.00; Year 14: $440,560.00; Year 15: $453,777.00.

All written testimony must be received by January 8, 2021. In addition, the public may also testify during the hearing by calling the dial-in number.

1) submitting a written request to NYC Parks at concessions@parks.nyc.gov from December 28, 2020 through January 11, 2021.

3) by submitting a written request by mail to NYC Department of Parks and Recreation, Revenue Division, 830 Fifth Avenue, Room 407, New York, NY 10065. Written requests must be received by December 29,2020. For mail-in request, please include your name, return address, and License # Q163-SB-2019.
