PIN#81624Y0556 Due:
Pursuant to Procurement Policy Board Rule Section 3-05, the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene intends to enter into a sole source agreement with Lifeguard Digital Health, Inc., who will provide LifeguardLite, a medical alert device, to avert overdose deaths in New York City due to the fentanyl and xylazine crises, particularly among people that use alone, such as those in supportive housing, who often do not get naloxone administered until it is too late.
DOHMH has determined that LifeguardLite was identified as the only device available to link people using drugs directly with emergency services to deliver naloxone in time to prevent fatal overdose. Lifeguard Lite has been installed in supportive housing units in other jurisdictions and has proven to successfully avert overdose deaths by ensuring that this simple life-saving intervention can be delivered in a timely manner. Lifeguard Digital Health Inc. is the inventor and sole provider of LifeguardLite, and there are no authorized resellers of this product. Therefore, DOHMH seeks to enter into a sole source contract with Lifeguard Digital Health Inc.
Any vendor who believes they are qualified to provide such services is invited to indicate interest by responding to the RFI EPIN 81624Y0556 in PASSPort.
