The New York State Office of Mental Health ("OMH") requires the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to contract with The New York Foundling Hospital d/b/a The New York Foundling (“Contractor”) will provide ongoing training, capacity building, and technical support to service providers working in family-serving community-based organizations and agencies to enhance their ability to use strength-based, culturally relevant positive parenting and family support models in their work. These services will be implemented as the Strong Families and Communities Center (The SFC Center) at New York Foundling (“The Center”). These efforts will strengthen family relationships and empower parents/caregivers to improve the social-emotional health and development of children and youth. The training and technical support will focus on parenting and peer support models that providers will then use in their work with families.
