The extension of these contracts is crucial to ensure continuity of services. The ACCO has determined that an extension of these services will be beneficial to the City since the same terms and conditions remain. In addition, the current contractors are familiar with the SONYC Pilot programming and have been performing satisfactory and above on their current contract(s).
Description

In 2015 COMPASS launched a pilot program to service middle school youth in ACS and homeless facilities. There are programs that are located at DHS, Secure Detention (SD) and Non-Secure Detention Facilities (NSD) providing support and services to youth involved in justice system. In collaboration with the Administration for Children Services and the Department of Homeless Services as well as community-based organizations with history working with these populations, DYCD offers programming tailored and designed to cultivate supportive relationships, Work with adolescents to stay on track academically and socially, and Foster optimism and resilience. The NAE will allow DYCD to competitively solicit these services in the future; currently DYCD is prioritizing the award and registration of the COMPASS Elementary and Middle School RFPs contracts before we release the SONYC Pilot solicitation in future
