Description

The Department Social Services (DSS) intends to enter into a Negotiated Acquisition Extension (NAE) contract with New York County Health Services Review Organization (NYCHSRO) for provision of Independent Client Home Care Services Plans. NYCHSRO provides three fulltime equivalent physicians to assist Home Care Service Program with developing and reviewing client home care plans citywide, for Medicaid eligible individuals who are medically and/or physically disabled, frail or elderly in need of home care.

The proposed NAE term will be from July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026 with a contract amount of $373,238.50. All Renewals and Amendment Extensions were exhausted before utilizing the NAE method. The proposed NAE is being pursued to ensure the continuity of vital services for Program to determine the plan of care for clients while the proposals received from the RFP (EPIN06926P0003) are being evaluated with anticipated contract start date for January 1, 2027.

Procurement and award are in accordance with PPB Rule Section 3-04(b)(2)(iii) for the reasons set forth herein.
