DOHMH is proposing to use a Limited Pool Negotiated Acquisition to procure human services to expand addiction recovery services available. It is not practical or advantageous to award a contract for these services by Competitive Sealed Bidding or Competitive Sealed Proposal as there is a limited number of vendors available and able to perform the work. Recovery Centers offer non-clinical recovery supports in the form of emotional, informational, instrumental (concrete) support and positive affiliation. Recovery Centers are currently designated and funded by OASAS.
Description

Recovery Centers offer non-clinical recovery supports in the form of emotional, informational, instrumental (concrete) support and positive affiliation. Recovery Centers are currently designated by NYS OASAS. Recovery Centers provide a community-based, non-clinical setting that is safe, welcoming and alcohol/drug free for the whole community. The centers promote long-term recovery through skill-building, recreation, employment readiness and the opportunity to connect with peers who are going through similar challenges. Consistent with OASAS’s Recovery Center program, the Department enters this Agreement for the Contractor to expand its Recovery Center services.
