DOHMH intends to contract with the existing vendors to ensure continuity of services in order to prevent a gap in services while the development and administration of a new RFP is in process. In addition, the current vendors are familiar with the services under Recreational and Socialization for individuals and families with an autism spectrum disorder. All sixteen vendors have at least satisfactory performance.
Description
Pursuant to Section 3-04(b)(2) (iii) of the Procurement Policy Board (PPB) Rules, the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is seeking to extend sixteen contracts beyond the cumulative twelve-month extension limit, to allow time for the development and administration of an RFP process. This is the minimum time necessary to meet the need, as we are in the early stages of developing an RFP to replace the current contracts.
