The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) is required to contract with Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene Inc (RFMH) to maintain program and personnel stability and provide community-based services. RFMH is responsible for ensuring that the necessary support is provided to the Division of Mental Hygiene for the support of community-based services in New York City for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, RFMH, via this contract, is also responsible for staff for NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities at locations in New York City. RFMH’s responsibility is to keep staff on their payroll and hire additional staff as necessary or engage consultants to ensure services are provided and maintained.
