Description

The Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ) intends to enter into a Negotiated Acquisition Extension (NAE) with Brooklyn Defender Services. 

In New York State, localities are statutorily and constitutionally required to fund legal defense for criminal cases for those who cannot afford private representation. Vendor is contracted by the City to provide both homicide and non-homicide trial level criminal indigent defense representation services. This is to extend the existing contract 1 year to allow time for a long term procurement to be put in place.
