Pursuant to Section 3-04(b)(2)(iii) of the Procurement Policy Board (PPB) Rules, the New York City Department of Probation (DOP) intends to enter into a Negotiated Acquisition Extension (NAE) with Renaissance Youth Center for the continued provision of services under the NeON Arts Program.
Sourcing EPIN: 78126N0019
Vendor: Renaissance Youth Center
Vendor Address: 3485 Third Avenue, New York 10456
The NeON Arts Program is a community-based initiative that integrates arts programming into the Department’s Neighborhood Opportunity Networks (NeONs), which serve as localized probation centers across New York City. Under this extension, Renaissance Youth Center will continue to facilitate the design, coordination, and implementation of arts-based programming in partnership with local stakeholders and community-based arts organizations. Services include the development of culturally relevant workshops, public showcases, and community events that engage justice-involved youth and other local young people.
Through participation in structured arts programming, participants develop transferable skills such as creative collaboration, communication, and critical thinking, while building positive peer relationships and strengthening connections to their communities. Renaissance Youth Center will also support grant-making activities and coordinate with NeON sites to ensure programming reflects community needs and promotes educational engagement and workforce readiness. This extension supports the continuation of services by an experienced provider with demonstrated capacity to deliver borough-based arts programming while the Department advances a competitive procurement for these services.
Term: July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2028
Total Contract Amount: $1,575,000.00
This NAE is necessary to ensure continuity of critical services while the Department completes a competitive procurement. This notice is for informational purposes only.
