Description

The Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ) intends to enter into a Negotiated Acquisition Extension (NAE) with Osborne Association Inc

Incarceration takes an emotional and financial toll on all New Yorkers. Not only costing taxpayers over $1 billion annually, but incarceration also disrupts families, destabilizes, and impacts community ties. Women, families and interim caregivers are forced to navigate life and raising children with the burden of incarceration. In efforts to improve outcomes for women in jail and their families, the Visiting Family and Assistance Program (VFAP) was implemented to provide much needed support. VFAP helps to support women, their families and those caring for their children in community to foster connection and support reunification and stabilization while incarcerated and post release. This is to extend the existing contracts 1 year to allow time for a long term procurement to be put in place.
