The SCA anticipates awarding up to five requirements-type contracts (services to be ordered by the SCA on an “as required” basis). The NTE award amount of each of the contracts issued under the RFP will be up to One Million Five Hundred Thousand ($1,500,000) Dollars. The duration of each contract issued under the RFP will be up to three (3) years with no renewal option.
The selected consultants will provide sustainable design services to the SCA and its consultants on an as-needed basis, aligned with fiscal year commitment goals. Services will include sustainability and resiliency consulting; research and development of design standards; sustainability and resiliency data analytics; prototypical energy modeling; and full energy modeling for entire school buildings, including Capital Improvement Projects. Consultants will also develop recommendations to achieve compliance with applicable energy codes and local laws and address future updates to SCA standards based on revisions to the NYCECC and LEED. In addition, the selected consultants will be responsible for reviewing sustainable cost estimates, preparing Green Schools Guide (GSG) submissions, updating the GSG, and conducting third-party reviews. These reviews will audit the SCA’s Green submissions and supporting documentation to certify compliance with the Green Schools Rating System. Consultants may also be required to interpret GSG credits related to USGBC LEED-NC and LEED for Schools on a project-by-project basis and perform annual audits of applicable projects completed in the prior year to verify continued compliance with the GSG.
