NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A REAL PROPERTY ACQUISITIONS AND DISPOSITIONS PUBLIC HEARING, in accordance with Section 824 of the New York City Charter, will be held on March 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. via Conference Call No. 1-646-992-2010, Access Code 717 876 299.

 

IN THE MATTER OF the acquisition of the Staten Island Tax Block 4130, Lots 1 & 70 (the “Property”). The City is acquiring the Property to facilitate the construction of storm surge protection measures including a levee/seawall, interior drainage areas, and a fronting tidal wetland, in connection with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) South Shore of Staten Island Coastal Storm Risk Management Phase 1 project, also known as the Line of Protection, in Staten Island Community Districts 2 and 3.

 

The proposed acquisition was approved by the City Planning Commission pursuant to NYC Charter Section 197-c on February 1, 2017 (ULURP No. C 170119 PCR / Cal. No. 25).

 

The purchase price is $12,450,000.
