Description

The Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) is requesting the renewal contract for the Child Support Young Parent Initiative. The program aims to guide young parents through the complex child support order establishment process. Both parents will be assigned a social worker (called a “Navigator” as described in Section II, page 9, under “Navigation Support”) who will guide them through the child support process, ensure they are ready for court, connect them to services they may need, and remind them of upcoming appointments. The proposer will also offer parents workshops on parenting and co-parenting, provide or refer parents to mediation services, and draft child support and co-parenting agreements with the parents.
