Description

DYCD is seeking a New York State and New York City certified MWBE Vendor (a Minority-and or Women-owned Business Enterprise) to implement a Digital Literacy and Inclusion (DLI) project for a contract starting July 1, 2025. The primary goal of the project is to enhance digital literacy and inclusion in selected high-need neighborhoods in New York City. The project is divided into three main parts. In the first part, the Vendor will map assets in the high-need neighborhoods to identify IT infrastructure and existing partnerships with local non-profits with the aim of raising awareness of the issues and improving digital literacy among families. In the second part, the Vendor will collaborate with DYCD’s Digital Literacy and Inclusion and Adolescent Literacy providers and other relevant stakeholders to assess wireless coverage and broadband access among the participants enrolled in their programs, to identify knowledge gaps and types of digital literacy skills needed to thrive in the modern world. In the third part, the Vendor will develop digital literacy tools and resources. In the final phase, the Vendor will work with DYCD on dissemination (internal and external) of the project’s findings and conclusions.
