DSS/ITS is requesting the Purchase of 33 APC Network Cards, 33 APC Battery Packs and 66 Metered Racks to replace old Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) on Main distribution frames (MDF) and Intermediate distribution frames (IDF) rooms. Power Distribution Units are used for power distribution to network devices. Services are transportation standard dock to dock provided by the Vendor. Current UPS system is out of support and needs to be replaced with new UPS system for Critical Network Equipment such as Firewall, routers, switches, and servers. UPS system is going to be used for prevention of Network devices in MDF and IDF room of each floor. UPS system provides a backup power source in case of a mains power failure. Equipment protection from power surges, spikes and other anomalies that can damage or destroy equipment, reduce downtime. UPS system can prevent data loss and corruption caused by sudden power outages.
