Description

NOTICE OF A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING of the Franchise and Concession Review Committee and NYC Parks (“DPR”) to be held on 9/8/2025, at 255 Greenwich Street, 8th Floor commencing at 2:30 p.m. relative to:

 

INTENT TO AWARD as a concession a License Agreement (“License”) to Knox Golf Academy Inc. for the renovation, operation, and maintenance of a golf driving range at Alley Pond Park in Queens.
The License will provide for a term of 20 years.


Compensation to the City will be as follows:

Year 1 - $1,400,000
Year 2 - $1,400,000
Year 3 - $1,400,000
Year 4 - $1,400,000
Year 5 - $1,400,000
Year 6 - $1,650,000
Year 7 - $1,650,000
Year 8 - $1,650,000
Year 9 - $1,650,000

Year 10 - $1,650,000
Year 11 - $1,900,000
Year 12 - $1,900,000
Year 13 - $1,900,000
Year 14 - $1,900,000
Year 15 - $1,900,000
Year 16 - $2,150,000
Year 17 - $2,150,000
Year 18 - $2,150,000
Year 19 - $2,150,000
Year 20 -$2,150,000

Written testimony may be submitted in advance of the hearing electronically to fcrc@mocs.nyc.gov. All written testimony can be submitted up until the close of the public hearing and will be distributed to the FCRC after the hearing.

A draft copy of the agreement may be obtained at no cost by any (or all) of the following ways:
1. Submit a written request to NYC Parks at Katherine.cognata@parks.nyc.gov from 8/22/25 through 9/8/2025

2. Submit a written request by mail to NYC Parks. Written requests must be received by 9/8/2025. For mail-in requests, please include your name, return address, and Q1-DR.
