NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT, pursuant to Section 197-c and Section 201 of the New York City Charter, the Brooklyn Borough President will hold a ULURP hearing on the matters below in person, at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in the Borough Hall Courtroom, 209 Joralemon Street. The meeting will be recorded for public transparency.

Testimony at the hearing is limited to 2 minutes, unless extended by the Chair. Pre-registration is not required. Testimony will only be accepted in person or in writing. For timely consideration, written comments must be submitted to testimony@brooklynbp.nyc.gov  no later than Friday, March 28th, 2025.

The following agenda items will be heard:

 

  1. North 7th Street Rezoning
    A private application for a zoning map amendment to rezone nine lots (Block 2327 Lots 5, 11-17, and 19) on North 7th Street between Berry Street and Bedford Avenue from R6B and R6B/C2-4 to R6A/C2-4; a zoning text amendment to designate a Mandatory Inclusionary Housing Area; The proposed actions would facilitate a 26,874 SF mixed-use building with 28 dwelling units, including seven affordable units, in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn CD 1.

 

  1. 236 Gold Street Rezoning

A private application for a zoning map amendment (an R6B to a C6-2A district) and a zoning text amendment (Appendix F) to facilitate a new 14-story mixed-use residential and commercial building, with approximately 79,000-sf residential, including approximately 114 dwelling units (29 MIH units) is being sought by a private applicant at 236 Gold Street in the Bridge Plaza neighborhood, Community District 2, Brooklyn.

 

  1. 47 Hall Street

A private application for a zoning map amendment (M1-2 to M1-6A/R8 and M1-5 districts) and a zoning text amendment to facilitate an approximately 816,000-sf mixed-use development, including approximately 285,000 sf of commercial space and 611 dwelling units, is being sought by RXR 9-47 LLC at 47 Hall Street in the Wallabout neighborhood, Community District 2, Brooklyn
