The City of New York DEP is required by the 2017 Filtration Avoidance Determination (FAD) to contract with the Watershed Agricultural Council (WAC) to continue to fund the implementation and repair/replacement of agricultural best management practices (BMPs) on participating farms under easement by WAC.
