Bids are being solicited on behalf of the City University Construction Fund (CUCF) by Armand Corporation for the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) Roof Mock-up as part of obtaining LPC approval for the Thomas Hunter Hall Infrastructure Upgrades Phase 1 Project located at Hunter College 930 Lexington Avenue New York, New York 10065. The scope of the construction work includes the furnishing, installation, and dismantlement of modular mock-ups display on the roof of Thomas Hunter Hall as shown in the project plans drawn by APA (Ahuja Partnership Architects) and for LPC review of the temporary structure. Bidders are directed to review the contract documents for the complete scope of work. The work is being bid on as a single prime General Construction contract with the expected cost range of $45,000 to $55,000. Bid Documents will be available January 21, 2025 at 3 P.M. through BuildingConnected.
Prospective bidders are instructed to contact the designated contact person via e-mail for access to BuildingConnected. Bidders requesting access to BuildingConnected will receive a unique e-mail generated from BuildingConnected specific to this bid. Any issues pertaining to accessing bid documents or BuildingConnected should be directed to the contact person designated.
A site visit and pre-bid conference has been scheduled for January 29, 2025 at 10 A.M. Attendance by any potential bidders, subcontractors and suppliers is strongly encouraged. All attendees are to meet in the lobby of Thomas Hunter Hall located at Hunter College 930 Lexington Avenue New York, New York 10065 (Lexington Ave. between E. 68th Street and E. 69th Street). All pre-bid questions must be in writing and must be received in writing via email to Ali Azad at aazad@armandcorp.com and cc CMContract@armandcorp.com no later than February 3, 2025 at 3 P.M. Any questions or requests for clarification received after this time and date will not be accepted.
The Bidder shall have been in business under the present company name for a minimum of five (5) years. The Bidder and or one or more of its principals shall have satisfactorily completed three (3) projects of similar size, scope and complexity with at least one (1) such project being completed within the last ten (10) years. One of the three (3) projects shall have been completed within an occupied facility. Bidder will staff the project with a Project Manager and Superintendent meeting the experience requirements of the bid documents. Bidder shall exhibit strong business integrity and possess the financial resources to complete a project of this size. The Bidder shall not be permitted to subcontract work totaling an amount more than 15 percent of the total bid amount. This project uses prevailing wages, and the bidder will be required to assent to the terms of New York State Labor Law Section 220.
All Bids shall be delivered electronically through BuildingConnected and received no later than February 24, 2025, at 1 P.M. Late bids will not be accepted.
