Description

HPD requires the services of asbestos investigators and monitors, including sampling and analysis services, in conjunction with its responsibilities to conduct or oversee construction and demolition work. HPD does not have staff with the requisite specialized training, nor the necessary equipment to conduct the specified work. Conducting these services outside of HPD also gives the benefit of third-party accountability. This procurement is intended to result in the award of 2 contracts, each valued at not to exceed $1,000,000, to 2 different contractors, in order to fulfil HPD's entire need for these services. Qualified bidders must have three years' experience performing the contract work and shall meet all qualifications required by applicable law, rule or statute. Prospective bidders are encouraged to engage with this procurement, access solicitation documents and submit bids through PASSPort (http://www.nyc.gov/BusinessOpportunities). Bid security must be provided as instructed in PASSPort. This Contract is subject to the M/WBE Program established by Section 6-129 of the Administrative Code of the City of New York. The specific requirements of M/WBE participation for this Contract are set forth in the RFx in PASSPort.
