Description

DEP is seeking the wide-scale establishment and enhancement of wireless communications and broadband capacity throughout New York City-owned lands, roadways and infrastructure within the 2,000-square-mile upstate watershed region, including the potential for installation of new communications towers, transmission equipment and high-speed broadband wiring and ancillary equipment and hardware. The need is to enable water supply operational and emergency communications and broadband activity where there currently is no such coverage or coverage is weak and limited.
