This is a NAE with incumbent provider to maintain continuity of critical shelter services for families with children for the minimum amount of time until a new RFP is processed, according to PPB Rule Section 3-04(b)(2)(iii). The one year NAE is needed to continue services while vendor prepares response to open-ended RFP.
Description

DHS is requesting a one year Negotiated Acquisition Extension (NAE) with Allowance for Repairs and Allowance Amount for Urban Strategies, Inc.: Dean Street Family Shelter & Fannie Barnes Residences. The site has 12 Families with Children shelter units at Dean Street and 33 at Fannie Barnes and is located at the following address: 2155 Dean Street, Brooklyn, NY 11233 and 829 Saratoga Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11212. This NAE will provide additional time needed for a new RFP release. Total contract amount is $4,891,783.00, including 25% allowance. Procurement and award are in accordance with  PPB Rule Section 3-04(b)(2)(iii) for the reasons set forth herein. 
This prpcurement is part of the FY25 timeliness initiative.
