Description

This Project consists of an approximately 4,600 square foot expansion as a new building directly adjacent to the Arverne branch of Queens Public Library (QPL) that will house a large multi-purpose community meeting room (non-PA space), interior skylit green space, storage, and service spaces. There will be minor work on the existing structure for a new connection between the new building and the existing building, but MEP and flood resiliency upgrades of the existing 5,400 square foot facility are not in the project scope. The new building will be in compliance with regulations for buildings in flood zones and all applicable codes. The design will integrate sustainable design principles and incorporate Percent for Art.
