Description

New York City Economic Development Corporation (“NYCEDC”) invites Construction firms to submit proposals for the provision of Construction Management services in connection with NYCEDC’s project: FEMA NYPD Conduit Repairs. NYCEDC is seeking a qualified Construction Manager to facilitate the repair and replacement of conduit at two sites owned and operated by the New York Police Department (“NYPD”). The requested repairs will be addressing the damage inflicted by Hurricane Sandy in 2012.

These services are expected to be funded with grant funding provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (“FEMA”), which are administered by the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services.”

NYCEDC plans to select a consultant on the basis of factors stated in the RFP which include, but are not limited to: consultant team’s experience in providing services similar to the Scope of Services; the quality of the proposal and the degree to which it demonstrates the respondent’s full understanding of and the ability to perform the Services to be rendered; the quality of the proposed consultant team members; favorable history, if any, in contracting or doing business with the City of New York and/or NYCEDC; the proposed cost schedules; and the respondent’s proposed plans for encouraging participation by minority and women-owned business enterprises in connection with the services.

It is the policy of NYCEDC to comply with all federal, state and City laws and regulations which prohibit unlawful discrimination because of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status and other protected category and to take affirmative action in working with contracting parties to ensure certified Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprises (“MWBEs”) share in the economic opportunities generated by NYCEDC’s projects and initiatives.

This project has Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise (“M/WBE”) participation goals, and all respondents will be required to submit an M/WBE Participation Proposal with their response. NYCEDC established the Contract Financing Loan Fund programs for Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises interested in working on public construction projects. Contract Financing Loan Fund facilitates financing for short-term mobilization needs such as insurance, labor, supplies and equipment. Respondents may submit questions and/or request clarifications from NYCEDC no later than 5:00 PM ET on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
