Description

The New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT), Division of Bridges and Tunnels manages 792 bridges and 4 tunnels and connected infrastructure. The Inspections unit performs over 90 biennial and interim inspections and 1000 monitoring inspections each year. In addition over 1200 flag conditions remediated annually through repair and scheduled maintenance tasks. The Division is working to implement a system that automates scheduled maintenance, flag repair and on-call repair tasks. The new system will be integrated with SMS - the existing system that manages inspections and flag management functionality, it also shares the architecture, technical platform and vendor with the NYS BDIS system. Bridges Preventative Maintenance Management System (MMS) to automate scheduled maintenance, flag repair and on-call repair tasks.
