Except for procurements for construction, a procurement using a PQL shall be considered a "special case" under these Rules.
This project consists of façade improvements and redesigned entry and lobby. The existing main entrance will be redesigned to provide a new accessible ramp and stair. The grade of the new landing will meet the lobby grade. The existing main entrance doors will be retained and reinstalled within the existing opening to accommodate the raised floor level. The brick and stone façade will be restored. Existing coping stones and stone lintels will be restored or replaced as required. New façade lighting and security lighting will be added at the entry portal, at existing locations above the ramp, and at new locations above the new stair. The project includes a partial window upgrade to varying degrees of improvement. Glazing on the first floor will be replaced with security glazing. Security screens at the lower-level windows will be replaced, security fencing at the existing egress stairs will be removed and the chain link fencing above the low roof on the 96th Street façade will be replaced with new security fencing. The existing roof membrane will be replaced with a new Energy Star roofing membrane with a highly reflective surface. CB: Queens 3
