Funding for a chess program at P.S./I.S. 288 (21K288), funding to support Chess-in-the-Schools programs in Central Brooklyn, funding to support the school program which teaches elementary and middle school students how to play chess and the classroom chess program. To support in-school and after-school programs in Council District 1 including tournaments at public schools college-bound program and teacher training institute. Funding will support school program, tournament program, college bound teacher training institute with kids from Council District 43. To support Chess-In-The-Schools activities within Council District 46. Funds will be used for supplies and direct services to youth.; This allocation will support direct educational initiatives for students including but not limited to literacy math science and technology programs.
