ITS is requesting EveryAction VPB Connect-250,000 Dials per Month 06/01/2021-05/31/2022 -12 Months-and Implementation, Setup, Support and Coordination needs to be addressed ASAP. The Mayor’s Public Engagement Unit (PEU) uses EveryActions NGP VAN and SmartVAN products to conduct phone outreach. PEU also uses EveryAction’s SmartVAN in collaboration with the Vaccine Command Center and Test and Trace for all COVID-19 vaccine-related outreach. PEU needs EveryAction’s new feature, Virtual Phone Bank Connect (VPB Connect) to allow staff and volunteers to “click-to-dial” phone numbers within their computer internet browser, phone or tablet without manually dialing. In addition to increasing speed and reach, VPB Connect routes calls through a common caller ID number with a local area code, which help centralize system for call-backs and authenticate our calls and allow us to better advise New Yorkers against scams. Contrary to VAN's predictive dialer feature, VPB Connect can dial both cellphones and landlines and use the Open Virtual Phone Book interface which is best suited for PEU's phone outreach and familiar to PEU's staff and volunteers. PEU will use large scale outreach to educate New Yorkers about Ranked Choice Voting ahead of the June 22 primaries.
