Description

Funding for a chess program at P.S./I.S. 288 (21K288). Funding to support Chess-in-the-Schools programs in Central Brooklyn. Funding to support the school program which teaches elementary and middle school students how to play chess and the classroom chess program.To support in-school and after-school programs in Council District 1 including tournaments at public schools college-bound program and teacher training institute. Funding will support school program tournament program college bound teacher training institute with kids from Council District 43. To support Chess-In-The-Schools activities within Council District 46. Funds will be used for supplies and direct services to youth. This allocation will support direct educational initiatives for students including but not limited to literacy math science and technology programs.
