Description

The New York City School Construction Authority (“SCA”) is seeking a qualified firm to conduct a move of its headquarters located at 30-30 Thomson Ave, Long Island City, NY 11101 to One Court Square, Long Island City, New York, 11101. Interested firms shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and expertise, as required, to complete a move of the following efficiently and effectively:

• Approximately 1,100 employees, each equipped with monitors and prepackaged boxes, will be relocated. Additionally, various items such as surface hubs, plotters, copiers, printers, tower PCs, and boxed department files will need to be transferred.

• The move is anticipated to commence in late-November 2023, with completion targeted around March 31, 2024.

• All boxes and materials necessary for packing and moving will be supplied by the selected firm.

• While the scope involves no furniture relocation, expertise in handling large fixtures is expected.

Interested firms shall respond by submitting their expression of interest and qualifications no later than 3:00pm EST on September 8, 2023 via email to the contact identified below. In your response to this RFQEI please provide:

• size of your firm,

• examples of similar size moves your firm has completed,

• typical/suggested pricing structure (no specific pricing required),

• typical/suggested timelines/phases approach and working hours,

• any additional/ancillary services your firm offers/suggest (i.e. packing services),

• MWBE certification (if applicable), and

• how IT/electronic items are handled (monitors, smart boards, etc…).

Prior to the submission deadline, an informational presentation and walk through will be held on August 29, 2023 at 9:00 am at 30-30 Thomson Ave. If any questions remain after the walk through, they must be submitted to the contact person listed by noon on September 1, 2023.
