Description

This contract will construct raised crosswalks at priority intersections throughout NYC. Raised crosswalks elevate a portion of the roadway to the grade of the sidewalk, providing a level pedestrian path that functions as a speed reducer and calms vehicle traffic. Raised crosswalks also increase pedestrian visibility, further improving street safety conditions, and increase accessibility and mobility by prioritizing pedestrian movement within the built environment.
