Description

The Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation is seeking an experienced carpentry contractor to replace the existing wood decking at the Fulton Ferry Landing, located at the intersections of Old Fulton Street and Furman Street. The scope of work for this project requires the contractor to install decking, lay new subframe, and pour epoxy footings at the ferry landing. The wood decking, subframe, and footings sit on the landing’s concrete slab. All material is to be GC provided with the exception of BBP provided thermally modified white ash decking. The landing serves as the Dumbo/Fulton Ferry stop for the NYC Ferry system, which is operated and maintained by the New York City Economic Corporation. There is active pedestrian traffic 7 days a week, due to commuters and tourists accessing the NYC Ferry. There is also a restaurant on the landing that will be closed for the duration of the work, and an ice cream shop that is open year round. The contractor will be required to maintain pedestrian access to both the ferry and the ice cream shop for the duration of the project.
