Description

NYC Health + Hospitals began operationalizing its Humanitarian Emergency Response and Relief Centers (HERRCs) in October 2022 as a response to the mass influx of asylum seekers arriving in New York City. HERRCs provide a range of holistic services to asylum seekers including a place to stay, food, medical care, reconnection services, and connection to social services. In order to create a welcoming, safe space for every guest, client, and staff member, NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking to contract with security vendors. The primary role of security is to ensure the safety of guests and staff while creating a welcome, safe place for all individuals on site. The HERRC protocols and procedures surrounding safety must be enforced.
