The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is requesting proposals to develop an inventory of all active water service lines. In December 2021, EPA promulgated revisions to the Lead and Copper Rule (LCRR). To comply with the LCRR, the Department must develop a comprehensive database incorporating all available information related to installations, maintenance, and visual identification of active service lines in the system. The plan is to have a new database that will meet all aspects of service line data collection: to validate our existing service line inventory using existing records to determine service line materials, size, type and location. The TCDS will provide an integrated environment with which DEP will support the operations and management needs of DEP’s Bureau of Water and Sewer Operations (BWSO) including, but not limited to, tracking service status and service material changes. To access the solicitation, vendors should visit the PASSPort Public Portal at https://www.nyc.gov/site/mocs/passport/about-passport.page and click on the “Search Funding Opportunities in PASSPort” blue box. This will take you to the Public Portal of all procurements in the PASSPort system. To quickly locate the RFx, insert the EPIN 82623P0028 into the Keywords search field.
