Governors Island Corporation d/b/a The Trust for Governors Island (“the Trust”) invites qualified Public Relations Consultants and/or Firms (each, a “Proposer”) to submit proposals to advise on strategic communications initiatives and increase media visibility of Governors Island as a year-round premier destination, one poised for growth as a vibrant and accessible place for open space and recreation, arts and culture, and education and innovation to address the global climate crisis. invites qualified Public Relations Consultants and/or Firms (each, a “Proposer”) to submit proposals to advise on strategic communications initiatives and increase media visibility of Governors Island as a year-round premier destination, one poised for growth as a vibrant and accessible place for open space and recreation, arts and culture, and education and innovation to address the global climate crisis.

The Trust anticipates entering into a monthly retainer agreement with the selected Proposer beginning in April, 2023.

Locally Based Enterprises (“LBE’s”) and Women- and Minority-owned Businesses (“MWBE’s”) are encouraged to respond to this RFP. Any Proposer must identify in its proposal whether it or, if applicable, any of its proposed sub-consultants are LBE’s or MWBE’s. Respondents are also encouraged, if applicable, to include LBE’s and MWBE’s as sub-consultants.
