SWP-110 - Flood Hazard Mitigation II. DEP is obligated under the 2017 FAD to support a Local Flood Hazard Mitigation Program (section 4.6, p. 55-56) that includes an implementation program to be established with the Catskill Watershed Corporation (CWC). The goal of the Local Flood Hazard Mitigation Program is to reduce flood-related water quality insults and inundation threats to population centers through the implementation of flood hazard mitigation projects identified by communities that complete a Local Flood Analysis (a supporting engineering study). Some of the work to be completed under this contract includes the relocation of homes and business in flood-prone areas and the relocation of existing sewer infrastructure for those properties.
