The NYPD ESU members are tasked with many responsibilities including responding to dangerous calls such trench rescue, building collapse, emotionally disturbed persons and other situations that involve climbing to elevated places such as bridges, high-rise buildings, train platforms and many other structures. It is essential for all NYPD ESU members to be equipped with proper lifesaving/support and rescue equipment to properly perform these tasks. The NYPD's Emergency Service Unit is desperate need of replacing old deteriorated and overused rope with VECTOR kernmantel, high strength 12.5mm NFPA low stretch rope. The VECTOR 12.5 mm low stretch kernmantel rope is designed for rescue operations. The large diameter ensures great strength and excellent grip when handling heavy loads. Construction with nylon core and polyester sheath, with specific weave.
