On August 20, 2018, the New York City Police Department agreed to purchase, on an as needed basis, and Language Line Services, Inc. agreed to provide language interpretation and written translation services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The term of the Original Agreement commenced on September 1, 2018 and continues through August 31, 2020; and the Original Agreement includes two, 2-year options for renewal. Thus, the New York City Police Department requires a continuation of the same services to provide language interpretation and written translation services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, which provided needed assistance to the Department in its law enforcement efforts.   Thus, this 2nd Renewal Option is now being exercised.
