Description

This is a demonstration project awarded to the selected respondents to the Shared Use Lockers in NYC RFEI (RFEI PIN 84121Y0057-84121RFEI449) in order to evaluate the utility and overall benefits of shared use lockers (also referred to as common carrier lockers or multi-user lockers) with respect to: efficiency, carrier and customer usage, ease of use, accessibility, and technology performance. Of primary interest to DOT are locker facilities that can be placed either indoors or outdoors, with user-friendly technology enabling quick transactions, self-locking mechanisms, and communication of delivery information to customers. NYC DOT is seeking information, expertise, equipment, and software from manufacturers and/or suppliers of shared use lockers meeting these requirements.
