The uninterrupted continuation of this contract is needed to keep providing Odor Control Services at DEP facilities Citywide. It entails the removal of spent carbon from carbon adsorbers, installation of new carbon, and limited service and repair of carbon odor control systems at these facilities. Carbon adsorbers help mitigate odor problems, particularly Hydrogen Sulfide H2S, and eliminate volatile organic compounds (VOC) from process exhaust streams. Typical services under this contract include replacement of carbon, inspect and check the integrity of carbon adsorbers beds and ancillaries supports, and replace when necessary; repair and/or replacement of fans, motors, and blowers associated with the carbon adsorbers system. Monitoring and replacement of carbon from noxious discharge streams are required by NYSDEC 6NYCCR
