The City will engage an engineering project management team to oversee UPS replacement at 11 MTC, in order to ensure there are no interruptions to the operations of the building. Syska Hennessy Group is one of the few firms in NYC that has this desirable background, experience and expertise in this type of work and is available to support us during this effort.
Description

This work represents critical infrastructure for 11 MTC and we would like to enter into a Negotiated Acquisition Contract AgreementĀ  with a 3rd party engineering firm (Syska Hennessy Group) to assist in the management of this work to ensure their expertise is leveraged in this type of critical upgrade. The vendor will provide the following:

  • UPS expertise with an independent eye that is materially different from Bala and Newmark
  • Ability to identify and mitigate the risks involved
  • Will review/comment on all MOPs to ensure that 911 operations has full access to the UPS during all work
  • Will be on site to monitor/advise on the day that all MOPs are adequately performed

Over the six-months project period we will be installing new controls on all the generators. 11 MTC has 5 generators. However, while we install these new generator controls only 3 generators will be operational for a period of months.
