HBCR21B Component Rehabilitation of 8 Bridges in Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens. The eight bridge structures have been chosen for inclusion in this contract, HBCR21B. These bridges will have one or more component systems replaced or rehabilitated. By replacing or rehabilitating these deteriorated components, the deterioration of other portions of these structures will be arrested, resulting in the extension of the useful life of the bridge. The work involved primarily is rehabilitation of cladding, abutment walls, wing walls, piers, bridge deck, replacement or rehabilitation of steel, installation of waterproofing and asphalt overlay on bridge deck, replacement of bridge joints, overcoating metal or concrete surfaces as necessary, replacement or installation of electric conduits and fittings, securing guide rails etc.
