The Fortune Society Inc. will continue to provide these services through January 27, 2021 as outlined in the underlying contract. The Fortune Society, Inc.'s evaluations for the last 10 years have been Good or Satisfactory. Therefore, continuing to have them provide the services would be most effective, as there will not be enough time to procure the services of another contractor without creating a break in services
to the inmates.
Description

Negotiated Acquisition Extension #3 The Fortune Society Inc. was contracted by the Department of Correction to provide Individualized Correction Achievement Network (ICAN) for reentry services for high risk inmates for the borough of Manhattan - Option III. This contract has exhausted its renewal option and a subsequent Amendment. It is necessary to continue these services, therefore, we are requesting the use of a Negotiated Acquisition Extension so that the provision of these services can continue until a new competitive solicitation is in place. We would like to extend the contract for 2 months, January 28, 2021 through March 30, 2021.
