Description
BBP is in the process of constructing an eighty-five (85) acre waterfront park in Brooklyn, NY, which involves rehabilitation work to all marine infrastructure. The New Dock Street Bulkhead Reconstruction Project is intended to maintain the integrity of the waterfront in this area of the park. This project includes the demolition of a failed concrete bulkhead and replacement with a new steel sheet pile bulkhead.

It is important to note that the bulkhead reconstruction work outlined in this RFP will be taking place in completed sections of the park that are open and populated by the public. Convenience and safety of the public is a priority for BBP. The construction documents include 2 lay down area options. These lay down areas have been initially developed with BBP considerations. Contractor can modify each lay down area option as needed to incorporate their proposed operations only with BBP approval.

BBP has structured this RFP into two scopes of work, a Base Scope for the bulkhead reconstruction at New Dock Street, and a series of add-alternates related to lay down areas and associated repair alternatives.
