Description
BID EXTENSION: BID EXTENSION: CORRECTION: Pursuant to this request for proposals (RFP) Brooklyn Bridge Park (BBP) is seeking proposals for the provision of General Construction (GC) Services for Pier 3 site work as part of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Project, an eighty-five (85) acre waterfront park in Brooklyn, NY. BBP is in the process of converting 85 acres of underutilized waterfront into public park. The site extends from Atlantic Avenue on the southern end, to John Street on the northern. The success of the GC proposal process will be determined based on the number of proposals received, qualifications of the respondents, and competitiveness of the proposals.

This RFP pertains to the construction of the Pier 3 landscape. The Pier 3 site includes the creation of new lawns, planting beds, a hedge labyrinth, and a large hardscape area. The Pier 3 project includes the conversion of an existing pier previously used for warehousing into a landscaped area for the Park. The Pier`s primary feature is a sunken central lawn surrounded by plantings. A hedge labyrinth will be featured on the northern edge of the pier, and the western edge will remain pier deck for a large hardscape area.
