The Department of Education's (DOE) Chancellor's Committee on Contracts (COC) has been asked for approval to enter into contract negotiations with the following organization(s) for the services described below. (2) Service(s): The Division of Teaching and Learning seeks the approval to enter into an agreement with Education Analytics to provide technical support for a research project in order to produce Measures of Student Learning based on citywide student data for the evaluation system Advance and distribute the Annual Professional Performance Reviews to teachers citywide.

(3) Service(s): The Division of Contracts and Purchasing requests an extension per section 4-07 (a) of DOE Procurement Policy and Procedures with Lemire, LLC to perform background checks for the DOE’s 2016 Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) Program and other contractors.

(4) Service(s): The Office of Safety and Youth Development (OSYD) seeks to amend the value of the contract with SAGA Innovations, Inc. (SAGA) for a demonstration project to study an innovative approach to academic intervention services called high-dosage tutoring. The contract amendment will increase the original budget by $1.15 million for school year 2015-2016 and $1.15 million for school year 2016-2017, while allowing for expansion of the tutoring services up to 684 students; an increase of 80% over the original contract scope.
Circumstances for use: Amendment to a demonstration project contract to expand the reach of students served as a result of an increase in funding.
